On Wednesday May 14th, an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit southwest of the eastern coastal city of Taitung about 155 miles from the capital Taibei according to Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau. No damage or injuries have been reported.
Jinmen County in the Taiwan Straits, southeast of Fujian Province, also reported two earquakes on Wednesday morning measuring 3.5 and 3.6 on the Richter scale.
The three earthquakes came just two days after the giant 7.9 magnitude quake that hit Sichuan Province. That quake was faintly felt in Taiwan.
