Day 1
Upon your arrival at Gonggar airport, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa city (2-hour drive). On the way you will view the Giant Stone Buddha carved into the side of a mountain. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the afternoon is yours to relax and let your body adjust to Tibet's high altitudes.
Day 2
On this day your tour today will include Lhasa's cardinal landmarks, the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and the flourishing Barkhor Street.
Day 3
You will take a whole day tour to visit the Norbulingka Park, the Drepung Monastery, and the Sera Monastery.
Day 4
On this day you will be driven from Lhasa to Gyantse (256km, 5.5-hour drive). Along the way you will visit Yamdrok Lake and a Tibetan family. After arriving in Gyantse, you will tour the Palcho Monastery.
Day 5
After breakfast you will be driven from Gyantse to Shigatse (90km, 1.5-hour drive). In Shigatse, you will visit the Tashilumpo Monastery and the free market.
Day 6
Today you will be driven back to Lhasa (280km, 6 hours) along the Yaluzangbu River. Along the way you will enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding valley.
Day 7
In the morning you will be driven from Lhasa to Nyingchi County, (420km, about 7-hour drive), along the way you will tour around Lake Pagsum Co. Stay overnight in Nyingchi County.
Day 8
After breakfast you will be driven to enjoy the magnificent views at the spot where Niyang River joins with the Yaluzangbu River. Later you will visit the Lama Forest Monastery and the Giant Cypress Forest.
Day 9
On this day you will be driven back to Lhasa, (420km, about 7-hour drive), along the Niyang River. Along the way you will enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding valleys.
Day 10
You will be free on this day until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
