A Wonderful Tour to Guilin

Saturday evening, August 26th was the culmination of a wonderful tour thanks to your guide Jessica and her very capable driver Mr. More. At that time, she gave us an evaluation form to fill out but there was not enough room to express our pleasure with our guide and our driver. To begin with, Jessica was personable, very pleasant, and enthusiastic about whatever was on our agenda, and was very flexible in meeting our needs. On Saturday, our plane couldn't land in Guilin to fog and had to return to Hong Kong and fly out the next morning.

Jessica immediately put us at ease and made us feel very comfortable. We enjoyed being with Jessica and could speak easily with her about a variety of subjects.She answered many of our questions learning much about China. If she didn't immediately have the answer to one of our question, she researched the question that night and had the answer the next morning and had her notes to make sure she didn't miss anything!

We have never experienced a multiday tour like the one we took with you--only short half or full day ventures. Jessica always made sure we were comfortable including small things like making sure we were seated at a good table at a restaurant and helping us order our meal. And occasionally we could convince her to join us. She always walked us into our hotel and made sure plans were set for the next day. On our drive to Longshen we passed a number of places that had recent rock slides on the road. Mr. Moore maneuvered his way around all the obstacles. There was quite a rain storm while we were there, and on the way home, we experienced places where new rock slides occurred with much debris on the road. It was quite a challenge to get thru and he made it look easy. This trip has convinced us that this is the best way to truly see learn about the place you are visiting--if you work with an excellent agency such as yours. And it is your guide that makes a trip successful and ours was wonderful. I will happily recommend China Odyssey Tours to anyone planning a trip to China and would certainly book a tour with your agency again.
